Alas, the end is here.

Time to pack up and go home Mr Hadi.

Oh well.
All good things must come to an end they say.
(Nelly Furtado sure thinks so)

Quick recap of the week:

The real party?
..is a double whammy!
Featuring Birthday girl, Dodo!

The party hat party kicked off on a good note...

the munkie graduates

'Tis yet, another eventful day for the girls of Bardon.

For the Munkie hath graduated!
Congratulations Munks!
(on becoming an official smart-ass)

Daddy's little girl also got to spend some quality time being the brat
at home to make up for lost time in Kuching.

Some former graduate(s) are also still in denial.
Sigh.
Joining the labour force doesn't sound as cool as joining a
classified special mutant superhero task force.

Munkie, grinning her usual wide-ass grin, on a big-ass screen!
'Twas also a big day for our good friends, Fauzi and Dodo!
Congrats to the Graduates!

the adie adventures

Oh.
Look who ah-wived on a wee-tel boat for a visit in Bwis-bane?
With quite the impromptu surprise visit,
we had no choice but to come up with an impromptu tourist-sy plan.
And so, the playtime begins!
What the Munkie does...
...is what the Munkie loves.
We took the boy out for a visit to good ol' Seaworld.
And boy, did he like the rides at the park!
HEEHEE!
But ofcourse we took him on some REAL rides as well.

At home, we got busy Guitar Hero-ing...
...and Sing Star-ing all night long.
"Copa-caba-naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
We had a go at the EKKA this year too...

...but that's not the end of it just yet!

Tuesday, August 11

Sunday, August 9

oily greasy pizzas, big fat cookies

When the going gets lazy, the lazy gets pizzas.
Along with some extra loving from Dominos.
Watch my Choc Lava Cake bleed.
Magnificent.
Now for the cookies...

Big Fat Chewy Cookies

What you Need:
125g butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 large egg
2/3 cup self raising flour
1 cup plain flour
1 cup white/milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts

What You Need to Do
  • Preheat fan-forced oven to 160ÂșC. Line oven trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat cubed butter, caster and brown sugar together along with the egg and vanilla essence until pale and creamy.
  • In separate bowl, sift flour and stir in with chocolate chips and walnut. Then, add flour to butter mixture and stir with wooden spoon until well combined.
  • Spoon cookie dough onto baking trays at least 6cm apart to allow the cookie dough to expand.
  • Place into oven and bake for 10-15 mins or until edges of the cookies have browned. Cookies pale in the middle and slightly brown on the sides might feel soft to the touch but will set and become chewy and moist in the middle once cooled. The longer you bake, the crunchier the cookie.
If needed, acquire local manpower to mix in heavy batter.
